PURPOSE:To contrive reduction in manufacturing cost as well as to facilitate handling in conveyance and the like by a method wherein the member to be used for a magnetic shield is composed of a plurality of split pieces and coupling means, and the title cryostat is formed by the sintered body using the powder having high magnetic flux density. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic shield member, with which the magnetism generated by the main body 1 of a cryostat will be interrupted, is composed of an external cylinder 5 and a terminal plate 6, the external cylinder 5 is formed by a plurality of split pieces 51, and these split pieces 51 are coupled with each other by a slicing plate (coupling means) 71 and a bolt (coupling means) 72. Also, the split pieces 51 are formed by a sintered body having the raw material powder of high magnetic flux density such as ferrocobalt and an amorphous alloy, for example. As a result, the reduction in manufacturing cost and lightweightedness of the title cryostat can be achieved, and the handling in conveyance and the like can also be facilitated. |
