An electrode for pulsed gas lasers, which essentially consists of tungsten and copper, has a long lifetime. In the case of an electrode of this type, contaminations of the laser gas and of the window, even in the case of long-term use, are reduced to a substantial extent. An electrode which is even suitable for laser gases containing fluoride essentially consists of an alloy comprising copper, aluminium and nickel. |
