PURPOSE:To prevent a document from being left by prohibiting a document feeding action by an ADF if the opening of a document placing part is not detected at the time of completing copying action without using the ADF and permitting the document feeding action regardless of the opening and closing of the document placing part at the time of completing the action in a paper passing mode. CONSTITUTION:When a print switch is turned on and the copying action is completed without using the automatic document feeder (ADF) 50, the document feeding action by the ADF 50 is prohibited if the opening of the document placing part is not detected by a detection means. Then, a failure that the document fed by the ADF collides with the left document can be prevented. Meanwhile, when the copying is executed by using the ADF 50, for instance, and the passage of identifying paper is executed by switching a copying machine main body 1 in the paper passing mode at the pause of the number of copied documents, the document placed on the glass 9 of the document platen is discharged by the ADF 50 before executing the paper passing mode. And, in case of completing the action in the paper passing mode, the document feeding action by the ADF 50 is permitted even if the document placing part is not opened. |
