<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a fuel tank from being damaged by a tank mounting member deformed at the collision of a vehicle, by providing a protective wall on the front edge of a tank mounting element on the tank mounting member so that the wall faces the outside of the side wall of the fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:An element 13 for mounting a fuel tank 4 is protruded from the mounting surface 12 of a mounting member 7, which is located at the side of the tank. The base 23 of an L-shaped element 22 is welded on the mounting element 13. The rising part of the L-shaped element 22 constitutes a protective wall 24 for the tank 4. At the collision of a vehicle, the mounting element 13 is moved along the mounting flange 10 of the fuel tank 4 and the protective wall 24 is brought into surface contact with the outside 21 of the side wall of the upper part 8 of the tank to prevent the tank from being damaged by the front edge of the protruded mounting element 13.</p> |
