EXTRACTING DEVICE OF PICTURE DATA

PURPOSE:To obtain an effect equivalent to picture data obtained by rotating an image pickup device by accessing memories successively in a direction having an optional angle to the horizontal scanning direction of the image pickup device to read out the data. CONSTITUTION:When the horizontal and vertical scanning directions are defined as X and Y respectively, an optional scanning direction is expressed by Y= AX+C, and if C is changed at a fixed interval, a picture is scanned in a scanning direction having the inclination of A. Regarding the leading scanning line as Y=AX+C0, X and Y out of an X and Y point string are applied to memories 7, 9 respectively. The moving variables of the point string in accordance with the movement of the scanning line are inputted to X and Y coordinate modification data memories 8, 10 respectively. These moving variables are added to the outputs of the memories 7, 8 by adders/subtractors 15, 16 respectively and the added values are used as the address of a picture memory 17 to scan the image pickup device in a prescribed direction and read out the picture data.
