PURPOSE:To raise the coupling strength of a panels by a method in which the wall faces of panels are exposed by an excavator having two cutter drums to form a key trench. CONSTITUTION:In connecting panels for a continuous underground wall, an excavator 2 having a pair of cutter drums 203 and a pair of the second cutter drums 207 for forming a key trench 1b is set in the intermediate ground of the panels 1. The ground between the preceding panels 1 excavated and the cutter drums 203 and 207 are contacted with the end wall of the preceding panels 1 for excavation to expose joint faces in the end wall faces, and at the same time the second cutter drums 207 are projected outwards to form a key trench 1 on the placing place of the panels 1. Afterwards, concrete is placed to splice the panels 1. The coupling strength and the water stopping property of the panels can thus be raised. |
