PURPOSE:To improve the operating rate of a vulcanizer by assembling a die and a die heating hot plate into the vulcanizer as put together after a preheating outside it when a die is exchanged. CONSTITUTION:Dies 4 and 6 are mounted on hot plates 3 and 8 respectively and they are preheated at a proper position of a vulcanizer passing a steam through upper and lower hot plates 3 and 8. Thereafter, when the assembly is carried before a vulcanizer with a truck A and an arm 17 is pushed out to the vulcanizer, the assembly is positioned on a base 1. A rod of a cylinder 10 is stretched to support the assembly on the top of a crank fitting 10a and then when it is pulled back with the retraction of the arm 17, the assembly is set on the base 1 being guided with a register ring 2. In this die exchange method, after assembled the die and the hot plates are transferred and the hot plates are mounted on the vulcanizer. Thus, this requires the positioning of the hot plates along and additional working of a clamp fixture thereby facilitating the positioning of the die on the vulcanizer, the labor saving in the attaching and detaching thereof and automatization. |
