PURPOSE:To prevent a called pager call number from being resent out by a CPU and from be rung two times, at the time of switching an area controller, by forming a part between a control circuit and a storage circuit of the area controller by a duplex constitution by a cross call. CONSTITUTION:When a fault is generated in an existing '0' system area controller G while a called pager call number is being sent out to a transmitter I, an existing order is sent out to an input/output interface circuit 1' of a stand-by '1' system area controller H from a CPUE. Subsequently, the circuit 1' outputs a read request of the existing order to a control circuit 2', and the circuit 2' outputs a stop instruction through the other system control line 5 to a control circuit 2 of the controller G. Next, the controller H sends out the called pager call number continuously from a fault generation time point to the controller G through transmission counters of a storage circuit 3 and 3'. In this case, the circuit 2 and the circuit 3', and the circuit 2' and the circuit 3 are brought to a duplex constitution by a cross call 6, therefore, at the time of switching of the controllers G, H, it becomes unnecessary to resend out the called pager call number from the CPUE, and also, it can be prevented that the called pager is rung two times.
