PURPOSE:To enable a heating capacity of a hot water feeder to be effectively used over an entire range of proportional control even if the amount of mixed hot water is metered with a plug in order to make an amount of hot water desired by a user by a method wherein the hot water feeding temperature is increased or decreased with a desired functional relationship with an amount of hot water. CONSTITUTION:A control part 12 stores a calorie control part 13 for use in operating capacity a control device 6 in response to signals from a water temperature sensor 7, from a flow rate sensor 9 and from a hot water temperature setting means 15; a hot water temperature setting means 15 for setting a hot water set temperature as a function of an amount of hot water; and an amount of water control part 14 for use in operating an amount of water adjusting valve 10 in response to signals from a temperature setting unit 11 and a hot water temperature sensor 8. The calorie control part 13 may calculate the heating capacity G and control a gas proportional valve 6, thereby operate in such a way that a hot water feeding-out temperature TH coincides with a desired hot water setting temperature T'S. The functional relation between the hot water set temperature T'S set by a hot water temperature setting means 15 and an amount of hot water GH can be variously changed without being restricted by a direct proportional relation.
