A large bag or sack is raised by two arms attached to a lifting mechanism into an emptying device (1), where it is opened manually and supported by a bar (20) vertically positioned between its open part and base and anchored to the emptying device (1) by a sprung fixture (21). The lifting arms, during the emptying operation, are brought into engagement around lifting pins. The emptying device with the bag is lifted and tipped by the torque produced by the common centre of gravity being located in front of the lifting pins. The tipping movement is braked by friction between the emptying device and the ground and by damping springs. A movement occurs which during the final stage of the emptying process is controlled and regulated by tilting the lifting arms (24), then the emptying device and the emptied bag can be brought back to their vertical commencement position. |
