PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly perform the development of an X-ray film and the storage of the recording information of the film, by setting variably the photoirradiation condition of a light source control part on the X-ray film based on film identification information from a film identification part. CONSTITUTION:After a power source is applied and a film cassette 4 is inserted to an insertion hole 13 and a device is set at an initialized state, a start button is depressed. The size information of the X-ray film and the relative information of other object to be inspected in the film cassette 4 are transmitted to a control part 10, and the light source control part 8 is changed and set based on the film identification information out of them. Next, a sheet of X-ray film P is taken out and carried from the film cassette 4, and is developed at a developing part 1, and a developed X-ray film P is carried to a succeeding stage along a carrying path. And when the tip part of the X-ray film P is detected by a film end part detecting part 15, the light source control part 8 is set at a driving state. In such a way, it is possible to perform the development and the storage of the recording information of the X-ray film easily and rapidly.
