摘要 PURPOSE:To measure collecting efficiency under the conditions close to those in actual operating environment and to attain high accuracy, by performing the measurement based on the concentrations of aerosol in the stream after a filter when the aerosol is passed through a bypath and when the aerosol is not passed through the bypath. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 4, a pump 17 and the like are operated. The solution of dioctyl phthalate (DOP) is atomized from a storing part 1. The DOP is dried. Aerosol including the fine grains of the DOP is imparted to a diluting device 8. Then, the aerosol having a specified concentration is applied to a duct 11a at a specified flow rate Q. Under the state a valve 14 is closed, the aerosol concentration C2 after the aerosol has passed through a measuring filter 12 is measured with a concentration measuring device 18. Thereafter, the valve 14 is opened, and the concentration of C3 of the aerosol, which is applied through a bypath duct 13, is measured with the device 18. The flow rate (q) of the aerosol flowing through the duct 13 is measured with a laminar flowmeter 15. Then, the collecting efficiency eta of the filter 12 is obtained by the expression in the Figure.
