PURPOSE:To instantaneously detect whether a bus bar is normal or abnormal by measuring the potential differences at a time of electrification between two points containing the junction of the bus bar and between two points wherein the junction is not contained and comparing the measured value with reference value. CONSTITUTION:Current for plating which is fed from an electric source 10 is allowed to flow via an ammeter 20 and junctions 12, 23 and branched in a junction 34 and one part is allowed to flow to a plating cell 97 from an electrification rod 95 via a junction 91 and the other part is allowed to flow to a plating cell 98 from an electrification rod 96 via junctions 86, 92. At this time, the potential differences at a time of electrification between two points (e.g. between terminals 2, 3) containing the junction and between two points (e.g between terminals 4, 5) wherein the junction is not contained are detected with a potential difference detector 50. This detected value is compared with the reference value of a setter 70 thereof in a comparator 60 and it is judged by this difference whether a bus bar is normal or abnormal and in case this is abnormal, alarm is given and also abnormality is displayed on an alarming indicator 80.
