PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by connecting the brake coil or a winding machine in parallel with the smoothing capacitor of a voltage type inverter at the time of the operation of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:A motor 1 driving an elevator is controlled by a voltage type inverter and is composed of a converter part 2 converting three-phase power R-T into DC power, said inverter part 3, a smoothing capacitor C1 and others. In this case, a brake coil BR is connected in parallel with said smoothing capacitor C1 via a contact #RK. Said brake coil BR is a coil for exciting a solenoid brake constituting an elevator winding machine. When a power is applied to said coil BR at the time of operation of an elevator, said coil attracts a plunger against a spring force within said solenoid brake. At that time, a part of energy stored in the smoothing capacitor C1 is consumed as an exciting current for the brake coil BR. |
