PURPOSE:To attain a compact and low cost device by composing a fingerprint input plate of scanning electrodes mutually crossed, insulated and arranged so as to form a matrix. CONSTITUTION:The fingerprint input plate 1 is a laminated structure and the plural scanning electrodes are formed in a grid form in an X axis direction and a Y axis direction on a thin substrate 1a composed of alumina flat in a face. Then, to the intersections of the scanning electrodes, a matrix type silicon integrated circuit 1b is jointed consisting of many semiconductor switches, and a film 1c obtained by forming a contact electrode 12 by sputtering a metal material on the insulating film such as tantalum pentoxide having pin holes bored on the positions of the respective semiconductor switches is disposed thereon. Conductive information or non conductive information according to whether the crest part of a fingerprint pattern contacts the contact electrode or the bottom part does not contact, is electrically taken out as fingerprint data and processed by a processor 2. |
