发明名称 PRODUCTION OF ELEMENT FOR ADSORBING GAS OF VERY LOW CONCENTRATION
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve bonding strength between gas adsorbing material (e.g. synthetic zeolite powder) and its carrier (e.g. multi-plied coarsely made papers of inorg. fiber) by subjecting water soluble Si in water glass used as bonding agent to transform water insoluble cpd. with specific metal salts. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of plane multi-plied paper 1 and corrugated multi-plied paper 2 are alternately adhered and laminated with an adhesive prepd. by mixing polyvinyl acetate with an inorg. binder. The resulting laminate is heated to remove org. materials contained in it and to obtain a carrier having many small through holes 3. The carrier is immersed in an aq. solution of water glass dispersed with synthetic zeolite, taken out and dried by heating. The treated carrier is then immersed in an aq. magnesium (or Al, Ca) sulfate soln. to form hydrogel and is taken out, washed and dried by heating. Thus, the dehumidifying effect is continued for a long period because zeolite does not fall off from the carrier even when it absorbs humidity as bonding agent is not water soluble.</p>
