PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in the conveying device of a chart, etc., of a general hospital by branching plural sub-conveying means with abnormality detecting means from a main conveying means and stopping the advance of an object to be conveyed to a sub-conveying means in which abnormality is detected. CONSTITUTION:By inputting a destination with an operation panel 39 and as an advance key is operated, a CPU 160 outputs the destination to a main control part 151. Thereupon, the main control part 151 confirms whether the sub- conveyor of the corresponding destination is down or not and output the result to the CPU 160 which has fed the destination. Thereby, when the CPU 160 received a signal indicating the down condition of the destination from the main control part 151, it gives an indication 'unable to advance because of downed destination' to the indication part of a control panel 39 while stopping the movement of a case which is set in a case take-out/feed part. By this structure, efficiency can be improved.
