PURPOSE:To decrease the number of keys, to facilitate presetting operation, and to improve operability by discriminating whether channel selecting operation or presetting operation is performed from the depression time of a presettable channel selection key and displaying the completion of the presetting operation at a video playback part. CONSTITUTION:When presettable channel selection keys 50A-50F are depressed for a short time, pieces of channel selection information stored corresponding to the presettable channel selection keys 50A-50F are read out and the channels are selected. When the presettable channel selection keys 50A-50F are depressed for longer than the specific time, pieces of channel selection information selected with other channel selection keys 42 and 43 are written in a memory corresponding to the presettable channel selection keys 50A-50F and the completion of the presetting operation is displayed at the video display part. Consequently, the number of keys is decreased, the presetting operation is facilitated, and the operability is improved.
