PURPOSE:To obtain a resin bond type permanent magnet with excellent mechani cal strength, by forming 2-17 system rare earth magnetic powder in magnetic field when the coercive force before aging is less than or equal to 6kOe, performing then the aging of an obtained molded body, impregnating it with high-molecular resin, and hardening it. CONSTITUTION:Samarium-cobalt alloy in the state of low coercive force, as a raw material, shown by Sm(Co0.68Fe0.20Cu0.10Zr0.02)7.75 is crushed by a jet-mill, molded in magnetic field, and sintered to be used. This sintered body is crushed by a jaw crusher, and sifted to obtain magnetic powder, whose average grain diameter is 250mum. Without using forming assistant, this magnetic powder is formed in a size of 10mmX10mmX10mm (orientation direction) under a pressure of 3ton/cm<2> in a magnetic field of 11kOe. After this molded body is subjected to aging in a vacuum at 800 deg.C for one hour, and the coercive force is increased, it is impregnated with epoxy resin with various viscosities, and hardened. There by, a resin bond type permanent magnet having excellent magnetic characteristics and mechanical strength can be obtained. |
