PURPOSE:To quickly and exactly measure density by measuring the transmission quantity of an ultrasonic wave at every minute rotational angle, while rotating an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver in a sample container, and calculating a measured value by a computing element. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic transmitter 16 and an ultrasonic receiver 19 are immersed through an axis of rotation 23b into a sample 9 in a sample container 11, and an ultrasonic wave 18 which is transmitted from the transmitter 16 is received by the receiver 19. Subsequently, a voltage signal being proportional to the receiving intensity is outputted to a computer 21 through an interface 20. Next, the density in some cross section of the sample 9 is measured, a transmission intensity distribution of its cross section is obtained, the axis of rotation 23b is rotated by a minute angle (for instance, 2 deg.) each, and a projection data in the direction of 360 deg. is obtained. Thereafter, by using the computer 31, an image is reconstituted, and the variable density of black and white which is obtained is displayed on a TV monitor 22. In such a way, the density can be measured in a short time, and also, exactly. |
