PURPOSE:To increase the germination percentage of eelgrass, by mixing sand, sea water, colloidal silica and seeds of eelgrass and covering the bottom of the planned eelgrass zone with the mixed culture sand. CONSTITUTION:Sand is uniformly mixed with sea water and the mixture is uniformly kneaded with colloidal silica to effect the thorough contact reaction of sea water with colloidal silica and obtain gelled product. Seed of eelgrass are thrown into the produced mixture and uniformly dispersed by stirring to form a culture sand. The prepared sand is thrown from a ship into sea of the planned eelgrass zone to cover the whole surface of the sea bottom.
