PURPOSE:To feed a yarn end to a fiber bundling surface accurately and improve the percentage of success in yarn ending, by stopping yarn holing rolls when the reversible rotational frequency of the yarn holding rolls reaches a given value, and rotating the yarn holding roll in the forward direction. CONSTITUTION:A yarn (Y) held by a pair of yarn holding rolls 24 is cut to a given length, and the yarn holding rolls 24 are moved just above a taking out pipe 3 of a spinning unit 6 and stopped. The yarn holding rolls 24 are then rotated in the reverse direction to insert the yarn (Y) into the taking out pipe 3. The rotational frequency of the yarn holding rolls 24 is sensed by pulse signals in proportion to the rotational frequency simultaneously with the start of the rotation in the reverse direction of the yarn holding rolls 24, and the rolls 24 are stopped when the number of pulses reaches the set value. The yarn end is then fed to the fiber bundling surface of a spinning rotor 2. The yarn holding rolls 24 are then rotated in the forward direction to take out the resultant yarn from the spinning rotor 2. |
