Complex of formula (I) is made as an aq. soln. contg. 10% ferric iron by (a) prepn. of 1,6-glucosyl transferase (C6H10O5)29 (II) by enzymatic action; (b) reacting this with saccharose to obtain the dextrane (III); and (c) reacting with ferric chloride to give (I).
