Interchangeable pick-up 17 for electric guitar, characterised in that it slides over bars 2 provided for this purpose in the body 1 of the guitar. It is then possible at any instant to change the type of pick-up for changing the sound (rock, jazz, bass, treble, etc.) by a single hand action and without any tool. The electrical contacts are made when the bolts 20 for fastening the pick-up 17 onto the support plate 19 touch the contact plates 6 housed in the notch 3. One of the plates 6 is connected to the potentiometer 11 by a conducting electrical wire 8, and the other plate 6 is connected to the bridge 12 by the electric wire 9. The electric wires 21 for terminating the winding 28 of the pick-up 17 are each connected to a bolt 20. The electrical microcircuit circuit of the guitar is thus closed. <IMAGE>
