PURPOSE:To stabilize a high-voltage output by constituting a flyback transformer and a low-voltage power source transformer as single transformers which share a core and varying the pulse width of a pulse voltage applied to a horizontal output transistor (TR) in the former half of a scanning period from the end of a blanking period. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 1 is formed integrally with the flyback transformer 7 by winding a primary coil 9 which is coupled with the low-voltage coil 4 of the flyback transformer 7 with a low coupling degree and a secondary coil 10 coupled with the primary coil 9 with a high coupling degree around the core. The winding start terminal of the primary coil 9 is connected to a reference potential 14 through an input power source 21 and the winding end terminal is connected to the collector side of a TR 12 through a 1st unidirectional diode 22; and the winding start terminal of the secondary coil 10 is connected to the reference potential 14 and the winding end terminal is connected to the winding start terminal of the low-voltage coil 4 of the flyback transformer 7 through a 2nd unidirectional diode 23. Then the pulse voltage v1 applied to the horizontal output TR 12 is so controlled as to turn on in a half of the scanning period, i.e., in the former half of the scanning period from the end of the blanking period of the flyback pulse shown as a voltage v5.
