PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent superconducting ceramic coil, by forming a mixture of superconducting ceramics which is turned into superconducting ceramics by sintering and binder into a layer shape, on the outer peripheral surface of a core body whose outer sectional form is circular, processing the layer of the mixture into a spiral type coil, and sintering it. CONSTITUTION:A core body 11 made of wood is formed into a solid cylindrical shape. After yttrium oxide (Y2O3), barium carbonate (BaCO3) and copper oxide (CuO) are weighed and mixed, the material is preliminarily sintered and crushed. Polyvinyl alcohol and other arbitrary suitable binder are added to obtain an paste type mixture having a specified grain size and viscosity. This mixture is spread on the upper whole surface of outer periphery of the core body 11, and a mixture material layer 13 is formed on the periphery of the core body 11. By applying the center axis of the core body 11 to an axis, the core body 11 is rotated at a constant speed, and formed into a spiral shape with a cutting tool and the other arbitrary suitable tool. Thus, a coil type body 15 is obtained, which is sintered for ten hours in an air atmosphere at 950 deg.C. An excellent superconducting ceramic coil 17 can be obtained, thereby. |
