PIPE FORGING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the load exerted on a pipe blank and to prevent the generation of the cracking of a pipe by inserting a heating device into a hollow part by making the inner part of a main spindle hollow. CONSTITUTION:A pipe blank 7 is set to a forging press 6 and the heating device 42 provided inside a mandrel 9 is actuated to heat the pipe blank 7 just before being formed and under forming by the forging press 6 from the inside. The pipe blank 7 is then formed with dies 2, 3 by driving the forging press 6. Due to the pipe blank 7 being heated at an adequate temp. by the heating device 42 it becomes in the state of being easily formed in the case of its forming by the forging press 6, the load applied on the blank 7 may be reduced and no crackings are caused on the pipe coming out by being formed.
