The invention relates to a device making it possible to send and receive telexes from a videotex terminal A2. The device consists, on the one hand, of a box A1 including a logic control electronic card A14, of a videotex terminal A2, of a printer A3, which are interconnected and linked to a videotex computer/server B1 coupled to interface boxes B2 and B3 and a printer B4, the whole linked to the telecommunications network C and national and international telex network D. The electronic card A14 activates the device and allows sending and receiving of telexes over the national and international networks D, by means of a videotex computer/server B1. The device A has the principal advantage of automatically printing on the printer A3, in real time, telexes originating from the telex network and of preparing for the sending of telexes in local mode without connection to the server. Figure 1 presents the architecture of the assemblies A and B, and the networks C and D. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for automatic sending and receiving of telexes to and by the national and international telex networks for the use of businesses, associations and organisations. <IMAGE>
