PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which does not dissolve rapidly even in the presence of water and can adhere for a long time, by adding an aqueous solution of a specified water-soluble polymer to a solution of a polymaltotriose and an alcoholic softener. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous emulsion or suspension of a water-insoluble polymer (B) comprising an alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer or/and its copolymer is added to a homogeneous solution containing a polymer (A) comprising maltotriose and an alcoholic softener and dispersed in it to form an emulsion or a suspension. Examples of said alcoholic softener which can be desirably used include glycerol, diglycerol, triglycerol, polyglycerol (tetramer or higher polymer) and sorbitol. According to this process, a suitable amount of said softener is added to said polymer (A) having tackiness, adhesiveness, hydrophilicity and water solubility, so that flexibility is imparted to it and its hydrophilicity is enhanced and its adhesiveness to a wet surface is improved. |
