PURPOSE:To obtain a microcapsule-containing coating liquid composition for a pressure-sensitive recording paper excellent in adhesiveness, color forming properties, color forming contamination resistance and the like, by using a latex having a specified composition and comprising a copolymer with a gel content in a specified range as a main constituent, as an adhesive component. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid composition for a pressure-sensitive recording paper is obtained which employs microcapsules, having a color former as a core substance, and a latex as an adhesive component, the latex comprising as a main constituent a copolymer which comprises (A) 35-50wt.% of an aliphatic conjugated diene compound unit, (B) 5-15wt.% of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid unit, (C) 5-20wt.% of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid ester unit the homopolymer of which has a glass transition temperature of -70-20 deg.C, and (D) 15-55wt.% of other ethylenically unsaturated compound unit copolymerizable these units (A), (B), (C) and has a gel content of 60-95wt.%. By using the coating liquid, a pressure-sensitive recording paper can be obtained which is extremely excellent in color forming properties, adhesiveness, color forming contamination resistance and the like. |
