PURPOSE:To efficiently cool a stator coil having a large self calorific value and maintaining the superior starting performance and charging performance of the device by arranging a cooling water passage on the periphery of the stator coil wound onto a stator core. CONSTITUTION:When a field coil 7 conducts, a plurality of pole cores 4 and 5 which constitute a rotary field pole are excited, and S and N poles are formed alternately. When a stator coil 9 conducts, each torque is generated on the pole cores 4 and 5, and a crankshaft 1 is revolved through a flywheel 3. In this device, the right and left annular cooling water pipes 14a and 14b in pairs which communicate each other are arranged on the periphery of the stator coil 9. Cooling water is interoduced into the cooling water pipes 14a and 14b from the water jacket 16 of a cylinder block 12. Therefore, the stator coil 9 having a large self calorific value can be cooled efficiently. |
