<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic leather by dyeing its surface layer with an acid dye followed by rinsing said surface on reduction to prevent the dye from migration into a material made of synthetic polymer and to improve the adhesivity. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a synthetic leather on which a microporous layer has been formed by impregnating a substrate such as natural, regenerated or synthetic fiber with a nonyellowing polyurethane elastomer followed by coagulation is coated with a polyurethane polymer to make a surface layer. This layer is then dyed with an acid dye followed by rinsing on reduction at 40-60 deg.C using a reducing agent to remove the dye on said surface. This rinsing operation will improve the adhesivity of the synthetic leather to e.g. a shoe sole made of e.g. polyvinyl chloride to prevent peeling off, also preventing the dye from migration into said shoe sole.</p> |
