System for loading munitions into a gun comprising a cylinder formed from a fixed casing and a rotor in which are arranged several housings intended to receive the munitions, a rammer and means for transferring the munitions one by one from the cylinder onto the rammer through an opening in the cylinder casing. In order to provide positive guidance of the munitions during their transfer between the cylinder and the rammer, the said transfer means comprise a cradle 22 capable of receiving a munition, disposed longitudinally between the cylinder 10 and the rammer and supported by a crank 24 and a crank-arm 26 articulated on a support in such a way that the rotation of the said crank causes the transverse displacement and the pivoting of the cradle between a first position in which the cradle is placed vertically in front of the opening of the cylinder casing 18 and a second position in which the cradle is placed beside the rammer and at a level such that a munition, transferred by gravity from the cylinder onto the cradle during the first part of the rotation of the crank, descends by gravity onto the rammer. <IMAGE>
