Lifting device for a platform for storage of motor vehicles, in which the platform is carried by carrier chains which are raised and lowered over driven chain-wheels and are guided by deflection rollers on the platform. In order to simplify the design and to achieve, with only two carrying chains, a lifting action similar to that of a pulley block, each carrying chain (15), suspended on each side of the platform (10) and of which one end (16) is fixed around a corner of the platform, passes around a first deflection pulley (13) mounted so as to turn freely on one side of the platform, then a second deflection pulley (14) at a distance from the first, forming a loop in which the platform (10) with the two deflection pulleys (13, 14) is supported, then rises and passes around a fixed drive wheel (17), finally engaging a pinion (23), connected to the second deflection pulley (14) so as to turn with the latter and meshing with a stationary rack parallel to the lifting trajectory or with a stationary guide chain (25) which presses on the side of the pinion (23) opposite to the carrying chain. |
