<p>A device for detecting reading error provided for an optical recording medium reader which reads data recorded on the data tracks of an optical recording medium and stores the data in a memory. The device includes a PLL circuit which receives clocks read from a clock track of the optical recording medium and produces clocks in synchronism with the read clocks, and an address renewal means for renewing the write address in the memory according to output clocks of the PLL circuit. The device further includes an out-of-lock detect means for detecting the deviation of lock of the PLL circuit based on the input read clocks and output clocks of the PLL circuit, and an address renewal inhibiting means which inhibits the renewal of address of the address renewal means based on detect signals from the out-of-lock detect means. When the PLL circuit is out of lock, the read data are not stored, and correct data only are always stored in the memory.</p> |
