PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of calculation of remaining length of material and to perform speed reduction control at optimum timing by measuring the quantity of data in measuring circumference of a material to be treated collectively for plural circumferences and limiting the error of pulse increment to a minimum. CONSTITUTION:The extent of the movement of a material 2 to be treated for plural (K) rotation of a rewinding machine is collected collectively through a pulse generator 5, and a circumference measuring circuit 6 and a memory circuit 7 and renewed at every K rotation. Data reflection is detected by a data deflection detecting circuit 8, an difference DELTAC of circumference value is detected by a detecting circuit 9 for a material circumference value difference for one rotation. Present circumference value Ga is determined from the deflection DELTAC and a present circumference value calculating circuit 10, and the length L of remaining material on the rewinding machine is determined in a remaining material length calculating circuit 11. Moving speed is detected by a material moving speed measuring circuit 12 from the signal of a pulse oscillator 5. Remaining material length Lg on the rewinding machine at the time of starting speed reduction is determined by a circuit 13. L and Lg are compared by a speed reduction timing detecting circuit 15, and if condition is satisfied, speed reduction is started. |
