The clutch has a coil spring (9) acting as the friction element between the drive motor shaft and the driven output shaft. The radially bent spring ends (90,91) fit into an axial slit (23) in a cylindrical sleeve enclosing the spring (9) into which one of the shafts (1) projects. One of the spring ends (90,91) is released from the axial slit (23) when a given overload torque is reached for releasing the coupling with the threaded end of the other shaft (6). Pref. two axially offset limit stops (93) are positioned at 30 and 190 deg. respectively from the radially bent ends (90,91) of the coil spring (9). ADVANTAGE - Reliable torque overload release.
