In the case of known chimneys, these are produced, with the aid of a sliding or climbing shuttering, as a basic chimney consisting of concrete and are only lined, for example, with refractory masonrywork after said basic chimney has been produced. This process is very time-consuming and costly since the chimney can only be lined with masonrywork after the basic chimney has been produced. According to the invention, the lining of the chimney is produced essentially at the same time as the outer wall of the chimney is provided with concrete. This is possible because the lining is produced with large-format parts and acts as an inner shuttering for the approximately simultaneous concreting of the outer wall. The invention is suitable for all relatively high industrial chimneys, of from approximately 60 to 300 metres. <IMAGE>
