Apparatus for metered discharging of bulk material, in particular agricultural materials, such as fertiliser, seed or the like from storage tanks of mobile machines by means of rotatably driven metering elements which divide the bulk material uniformly over a defined spreading width via discharge elements, the metering elements being driven by means of a controllable drive to which is assigned a counting disc having a scanning device and an electronic evaluating and/or regulating and/or control device for determining the actual rotational speed of the metering elements and/or of the controllable drive. In order, in the case of machines which are manufactured with relatively large tolerances and are used under rough, primarily agricultural conditions, to ensure an accurate electronic control and/or regulation or monitoring of the desired rotational speed of the metering elements by the most simple means in the most cost-effective manner, it is provided that the counting disc have at least one "artificial" defect, that the electronic device have a counter, that the counter is switched by the "artificial" defect of the counting disc, that, as result of the switching of the counter by the "artificial" defect, the scanning signals, which are measured by the scanning device between the "artificial" defect, are counted in a periodic manner and, in the electronic device, these measured and counted "actual pulses" ... with the ... stored in the electronic device ...
