PURPOSE:To enable mass spectrometry of a hydrophobic substance unabled to be ionized by a matrix sufficiently, by using a sample containing a measuring substance and a compound given by a specified formula in a fast atom. bombardment mass spectrometry (FAB) or secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). CONSTITUTION:FAB or SIMS employs a sample containing a measuring substance and a compound given by the formula (wherein, R1 represents hydrogen atom., C1-C4 alkyl group or benzil group, X H or -COOR2, R2 C1-C4 alkyl group or benzil group). This enables measurement of a hydrophobic substance that is unabled to be ionized sufficiently by the conventional matrix, for example, glycerine and polyethylene glycol as used in the FAB and SIMS. |
