PURPOSE:To reduce the memory effect, and to prevent reduction of the dark part potential by providing an auxiliary charger and a destaticizing AC corotron to a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:When positive holes are electrified on the surface of a photoconductive material layer of a photosensitive drum 1 by an auxiliary charger 13 and this surface is heated by a heater in the state, where negative electrons are trapped in the photoconductive material layer after an electrostatic latent image is formed, trapped negative electrons are released by positive holes and heat energy, and are coupled with positive holes and are neutralized. Positive holes selectively remaining on the surface of the photoconductive material layer are removed by an AC corotron 13, and thereafter, this surface is uniformly positively electrified by a main charging corotron 5. |
