FLAME-RETARDANT CHLORINATED POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition outstanding in mechanical strength aid flexibility, significantly improved in heat resistance, suitable for sheath materials for motor delivery wires, by incorporating the matrix polymer with each specified amount of Ba-Zn-based stabilizer and thioether-based antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating 100pts.wt. of (A) 50-90pts.wt. of chlorinated polyethylene with chlorine content of 15-40(pref. 30-35)wt.% and (B) 50-10pts.wt. of an ethylene copolymer (e.g. ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer) with (C) 1-15pts.wt. of a Ba-Zn-based combined fatty acid salt as the thermal stabilizer and (D) 0.1-5pts.wt. of a thioether-based antioxidant.
