A process and a device are specified by means of which, in the case of the automated production of concrete slabs (3), in particular precast reinforced concrete slabs, not only can energy be saved but the production time can also be reduced. For this purpose, after the lifting of the finally produced concrete slab (3), the pallet (1) is immediately brought back into the hardening chamber (4) and only retrieved from the latter when a new concrete slab (3) is to be produced on it. The hardening chamber (4) may have stacking shelves (6) for this purpose, in which not only pallets (1) with prefabricated concrete slabs (3), but also the returned pallets (1), can be stored. <IMAGE>
