PURPOSE:To insert and take out an attenuation film through an aperture part by providing a stopper having a prescribed diameter in one aperture part of a housing. CONSTITUTION:An attenuating film 7 constituting an optical attenuating part is inserted and fixed to a sleeve 6 in a housing 5. The inside diameter of one aperture part 5a of the housing 5 is made larger than the outside diameter of the sleeve 6, and a stopper 8 whose inside diameter is larger than the outside diameter of the film 7 is fixed to the aperture part 5a by engagement or the like. The outside diameter of the stopper 8 is made equal to or larger than the inside diameter of the aperture part 5a. Since the film 7 is inserted and taken out through the aperture part 5a, the extent of optical attenuation is changed with an optical attenuator set to a panel.
