PURPOSE:To automatically change speed by conducting power transmission between a belt driving pulley and a shaft through cams having a certain angle and automatically changing the pulley diameter according to fluctuation of load. CONSTITUTION:One of a pair of cams 1 is fixed to a shaft, and the other thereof is fixed to the pulley 2. The pulley 2 is set on the shaft in such a manner as to be free. During no-load state, inclined cam surfaces of both cams 1 are brought into close contact with each other by springs having suitable force to keep the space of the pulley 2 most widely. As the rotating speed of the shaft is increased, both inclined surfaces of the cams 1 are slid against the springs to make the space of the pulley 2 narrower according to the rotating speed. Thus, continuously variable speed can be automatically attained according to fluctuation of load.
