<p>The cut end (22) of a branch (18) of an aquatic plant is inserted in the orifice (21) of a gas release tube (19) which originates in a photosynthesis tank (2) containing the branch (18). The tube (19) establishes communication between the photosynthesis tank (2) and a tank (4) in which a test tube (26) collects the gas released. Between the two tanks, the tube passes through a compartment (3) for observation of the gas released. The apparatus has a transparent base (16) so that it can be placed on the luminous table of an overhead projector which projects the image of the experiment on a screen. Used for teaching purposes.</p> |
