PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recording sheet for high image quality free of flow-out or blurring of an ink, by providing a layer comprising a hydrophilic polymer mordant and a vinyl polymer having at least one of a-COOM group and an-SO3M on a base. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic polymer mordant is a polymer containing a tertiary amino group, a polymer having a nitrogen-containing, heterocyclic moiety, a polymer containing a quaternary caticoic group or the like, and is preferably used in combination with other hydrophilic polymer. In addition, a homopolymer of a vinyl monomer having at least one of-COOM or-SO3M (wherein M is hydrogen or an alkali metal) or a copolymer thereof (a copolymer of at least two such vinyl monomers or a copolymer of the vinyl monomer with other monomer) is used. Particularly, a polymer (inclusive of homopolymer and copolymer) comprising the repeating unit of formula 1 is preferably used. |
