PURPOSE:To improve discharge characteristic by heating a mixture of a specific copper chevrel compound and a specific copper ion conductive solid electrolyte in inert gas atmosphere or under a reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a copper chevrel compound expressed as CuxMo6S8-y (0<x<=5, 0<=y<=0.4) and a copper ion conductive solid electrolyte expressed as KaRb1-aI2-zCl3+z (0<=a<=0.5, 0.25<=z<=1.0) is heated either in inert gas atmosphere or under a reduced pressure. The heating does not cause denaturization. As a result, the solid electrolyte and the electrode material are favorably connected to each other electrically with ions, and the movement of electrons and ions at the time of polarization is performed smoothly, reducing the polarization. This improves discharge characteristic. |
