PURPOSE:To absorb a mechanical stress by forming at least one electrode plate of a metal buffer material. CONSTITUTION:At least one terminal plates 12A, 12B, 14, 14B in a sealing member 15, made by interposing an electrically insulating plate 13 between first and second terminal plates 12A. 12B and 14, 14B are formed of metal buffer materials. Accordingly, a capacitor unit cell 8 can effectively be protected against an excessive calking pressure, and it can also prevent the member 15 from rotating in the opening 9a of a sheath case 9. Since the number of contacts is not to be particularly necessarily increased between a cell laminate 10 and the case 9, and between the plates 12A, 12B and 14, 14B, preferable characteristics are obtained as an electric double layer capacitor. |
