PURPOSE:To reduce the bending moment of a piezoelectric element, and to improve durability by displacing a needle in parallel while a leaf spring fixed to the needle is bent to a leaf spring fastened to a frame against the elasticity of a connecting member in accordance with the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element due to the application of a voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied between both electrodes for a piezoelectric element 2, the piezoelectric element 2 is elongated only by fixed length in the direction of the lamination of the element 2, i.e. the direction of the arrow X, and a needle 5 is moved with the elongation of the element 2. Consequently, a second leaf spring 9 receives the moving force of the needle 5 and is pushed up along a first leaf spring 8, and said second leaf spring 9 is elastically deformed in bent form between the needle 5 and a holder 11 for a tilting member 10. Turning moment is generated in the direction of the arrow P by the curved elastic deformation of the second leaf spring 9, thus elastically deforming the first leaf spring 8 slightly while tilting the tilting member 10. The nose of the tilting member 10 is moved forward up to the position of printing under the state in which a printing wire 15 at the nose of the tilting member 10 is guided by guide members 21 of fixed number. |
